【2022】APABI_April

Dear APABI members:

Add a new term to your vocabulary: Blue Finance. The ocean contains the world's largest ecosystems, and is included in the 14th Sustainable Development Goal of the UN: "Protect the abundant ocean." An increasing number of entities are issuing blue finance bonds, and most APABI members have some economic connection to the ocean. This is an emerging area of finance to watch, and we have included an article on the subject below.

Our Malaysia member AICB, in cooperation with the Global Ethical Finance Initiative, is holding the first Ethical Finance ASEAN Forum on June 29, themed "ESG in a Volatile World: Profit, Purpose, or Politics?" This will be an excellent opportunity to meet experts in this quickly emerging field and learn about the latest trends.

We are looking forward to our Mongolia conference in a few short months and will inform you of any updates when they are announced. We hope you enjoy the April edition of our newsletter.

 Regards,
 Hank C.C. Huang
