August 29 International Conference on the Outlook of Digital-Only Banks
Amid the preparations to embrace the arrival of digital-only banks to Taiwan in the coming year of 2019, the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) launched an international Conference on the Outlook of Digital-Only Banks on August 29, where topnotch experts from WeBank, Japan Net Bank, K Bank (Korea) congregated to shed light on how are they reinventing banking experiences by technologies, and have developed differently in various regulatory contexts. Their sharing brought clarity to the pieces of business jigsaw in digital-only banks that are so unique from the lens of conventional banking practices. Although it might be far too early to nail down on what would be the best business model to make the new breed of banking services viable, flowing in the room are those shining eyes and brilliant questions from the floor desiring to explore and change.
